In 2012, Macmel created the Honey and Apiculture Museum, the space consist in two areas. One of the areas pretend to give some information about apiculture, the bees, the hive products, the health benefits, etc. The other area is a living Museum where people can see the bees working through a glass or, to the most fearless, dress up a protective suit and take a closer look.
The Product
Macmel, is a company that show to people the benefits of honey and hive products in health and beauty/cosmetics. Following the passion for bees, Macmel produces honey in several places of Geopark Terras De Cavaleiros, with the characteristic flora from each area. In an environment where nature remains intact, the bees work the high quality raw material, the nectar/pollen of the Geopark Terras de Cavaleiros, producing a very high quality honey.
