Sara Gentilini. Coordinator of the IGCP GEOfood project and GEOfood founder. Master in Ancient History, Post Degree School on Classical Archaeologist, Bachelor in European Legislation she is now Phd candidate ( Marie Skłodowska-Curie) on abiotic ecosystem services impact in UNESCO Global Geoparks. Since 2011 she is working in Magma Geopark supporting the company to raise its international profile and economic sustainability. Raphael Ocelli Pinheiro.PhD Candidate, Department of Earth Sciences – University of Turin, Italy. Graduated in Biological Sciences from the Federal Institute of Minas Gerais (2015) with a sandwich period at Xavier University of Louisiana (USA) through the Science without Borders (CAPES) program. Master in Human Ecology from Vrije Universiteit Brussel, with research about cultural ecosystem services and ecotourism development in protected areas. He is currently a PhD candidate in the Tech4Culture program at the University of Turin (Italy) through the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA).

Janaina Luciana De Medeiros, Msc Executive Director of the Geopark Seridó Intermunicipal Public Consortium Tourism expert graduated from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), with a master’s degree in Tourism from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte. She also has specialized training in Geoparks from the University of Minho, Portugal; Specialization in UNIAFRO: Policies for the Promotion of Racial Equality; Specialization in Municipal Public Management Participates in projects. She also conducts studies on geodiversity, geoconservation, geoparks, geotourism, geo-education, and dissemination of geoscientific knowledge.

 

 

Emanuel de Castro Graduated in Geography, with a specialization in Environmental Studies Master in Geography and Territorial Planning, with the Dissertation “Integrated LandscapeAnalysis of the Portuguese Central Raia” and PhD in Geography, with the Dissertation “Serra da Estrela: Strategies of Tourism Development and Territorial Promotion – Contributions of Geography “. Executive Coordinator of the Estrela UNESCO Global Geopark.  Has participated in different research projects in the areas of Tourism, Landscape Analysis and Territorial Development

Hugo Gomes, BSc in Geology since 2007 , MSc in Geosciences since 2010, by the University of Coimbra.  PhD in Geosciences: Quaternary, Materials and Cultures by UTAD University, since 2015. He has been involved in multidisciplinary research projects in the Iberian Peninsula, Italy, Brazil, Angola and Ethiopia. Alexandra Paz, Portuguese. Geologist, PhD candidate in Geology at UTAD – Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro University. Alexandra Paz has been a geologist in Arouca UNESCO Global Geopark since 2009, working in geoeducation and geotourism areas, more specifically in the Educational Programs of the Arouca Geopark Association, which she is responsible for, since 2011, but also responsible for the Interpretative units ‘Casa das Pedras Parideiras’ and Arouca Weather radar – Panoramic Floor. Over the years, among other projects, she has developed work with local producers in the creation of geoproducts, namely associated to geosites with interpretative units.

Cyndy Stead Degree in Human Resources Labour & Relations with Distinction and a Certificate of  Economic Development and 20+ years of experience collaborating with community organizations to  move economic development initiatives forward. With a progressive career in a variety of sectors  including the Fishery, Employment, and Tourism Cyndy is the Geopark Manager of the DUGG which is in the Province of Newfoundland & Labrador (NL), Canada. Cyndy works with the Board of Directors and Community Committees to highlight the area’s  geological significance  while developing sustainable programs  that promote and grow the region, while protecting its’ natural and cultural values. 

 

Júlia Nagy Specialist is the co-managing director of Innotime Hungary Itd. since the summer of 2020. Between 2017 and 2020, she was the head of the ecotourism and communication department of the Bükk National Park Directorate, from 2012 to 2017 she worked as the managing director of the DMO of Miskolc, and before that she performed tourism network development tasks at Tokaj Wine Region.She was a university teacher at the University of Miskolc, and now she is a lecturer at the Károly Eszterházy Catholic University of Eger. She has been supporting the work of the Novohrad-Nógrád Geopark since the autumn of 2017.Currently, as a tourism and communication expert, she helps the work of the geopark in voluntary work.

Pål Thjømøe , geologist and pedagogic expert. He established the Magma Geopark AS IN 2006 and he has been in charge for the company  till 2021. Along the years he contribute to make Magma Geopark an UNESCO Global Geopark running more than 30 projects and be responsible for the overall economy. 

He is now leader for international projects and local actions within stakeholders, schools and development of geological and cultural intepretation.

 Dr. Cristian Ciobanu, Hațeg Country UNESCO Global Geopark, University of Bucharest, ROMANIA. He has a PhD in Geography with the paper Study of Mental Geography in Bucharest, which created a trend of Geographies of the mind in Romania. Since 2011 he teaches Heritage Management at the Geobiology masters, Geology and Geophysics Faculty, University of Bucharest.Since 2012 he lives in Hațeg region, where he works at the Hațeg Country UNESCO Global Geopark. His scientific preoccupations include Heritage Interpretation using Space Perception, Sacred Geography of the Hațeg region and a whole series of the Geographies of Perception: Imaginative Geography, Geoteology, Geocritics and others.
