Company story
Viladoce is a family project that was born from the desire to rethink the hectic life of the city, that started with a small urban vegetable garden in the Lisbon region, where the grown vegetables were used to cook. Currently, Viladoce is headquartered in Naturtejo Geopark, in Oledo (Idanha-a-Nova), at Quinta d Alvarinheira, an old manor house, with more than a century of history, where the family moved, with the aim of making their own life and all sweeter. The agricultural-based project focuses on the production of fruit, and vegetables and their transformation into delicious jams, jellies, biscuits and chocolates, whose flavour transports us to the region’s landscapes and memories.
Products
Viladoce’s sweets, jams and jellies are produced with artisanal techniques, without synthetic dyes or food preservatives. They are produced with orchard fruits such as figs, quinces, apples, pears, cherries, arbutus, prickly pears, blueberries, goji berries, watermelons and even wild blackberries from the fields. Fresh vegetables from the garden, such as courgettes, aubergines, beets, tomatoes or pumpkins, are also processed and incorporated into innovative products. In the traditional olive groves of the farm are grown traditional varieties of olives used to produce preserves and oil.
