Just few minute before the worse earthquake of the last 150 years hit Marocco the International Geoscience Program 726 Project supported by UNESCO kick off the 3rd year of activities.

About 20 partners were present at the meeting, representing 7 UNESCO Global Geoparks.

After we have been working on the database for supporting territories in developing #geoproducts and we have been developing the first two part of the toolkit we are now ready to start to work on the “monitoring phase”.

A questionnaire will be send to all participants to collect best practice regarding monitoring the local partners achievement in terms of brand development, activities and common promotion with the idea of valorizing local heritage, geoscience and local food.

The result will be a “monitoring” routine for checking progress from local partners within UNESCO Global Geoparks.
