Magma Geopark, Katla Geopark and other territories from Arctic sharing good practices for local food implementation in tourism activities and rural development
Between March 15 and 17 , 2022, the GEOfood EDU project partners met in Magma UNESCO Global Geopark.
The GEOfood EDU project, financed by NORA, aims at sharing the GEOfood values through educational activities, media and dissemination tools, involving partners from Iceland, Faroes, Greenland and Norway. The project will run for tow years and it is now at the first year conclusion.
Partners are working with local inhabitants, schools, educational insitutions, food entepreises for the valorization and the recording of the local cultural heritage and the promotion of the United Nation Sustainable Development Goals within new generation though the development of videos and collection of stories.
