On June 2nd, UNESCO celebrated the designation of 16 new UNESCO Global Geoparks at its headquarters in Paris!
A highlight of the event was the delicious showcase of selection from some of our GEOfood partners: local, sustainable products from Geoparks around the World.
Dr. Antonio Abreu Director of the Division of Ecological Science at UNESCO emphasized how initiatives like GEOfood strengthen local identity, support communities, and bring geology to life through taste and tradition.
We are delighted for the opportunity and we thank all the Geoparks which contribute to this successful event!
