The owner of the complex where the restaurant operates is the Franciscan order. Szentkút is a very popular pilgrimage site which tens of thousands of pilgrims and tourists visit every year. Aside from the sacred ground there are lots of interesting geological sites (springs, hermit rock-dwellings, gorges, a fault line, etc.) in the surroundings.
The Szent Jakab Étterem (St. James Restaurant) is located at the picturesque pilgrimage site of Szentkút, in the Pilgrim’s House. The restaurant offers a wide variety of locally produced meals, made from local materials. A great part of the menu represents the local Palóc cuisine which is really attractive for people who visit the region.
