We are the Ecla honey: a family owned company based on agriculture and livestock, who decided a few years ago to restart apiculture which was a lost activity as the abandoned beehives show us.

We are located at Santibañez de Ecla municipality, in the western part of Las Loras Geopark, in a very peaceful area characterised by the Monastery of San Andrés de Arroyo built 1000 years ago.

The production areas is located in the place of transition between the plateau and the Cantabrian mountains, with an extremely diverse and distinctive vegetation: varying from holm oaks, rock roses, thyme, lavender and French lavender to heather, oaks, blackthorn and hawthorn.

The variety of flowers found within these impressive geological sites gives a unique colour, flavour and taste to the honey, obtained by around 300 beehives.

Our products are results of a traditional fashion, thus ensuring first quality products.

It is cold-spun raw honey, without creaming or pasteurisation processes which therefore maintaining its natural characteristics: a completely unaltered product.

That is why it may naturally crystallise and become more solid or creamy depending on the temperature, but this is a sign of a natural and local product of quality, which you can get from a trustworthy beekeeper.
