Our olive groves are located in the Sierra de Altamira (Cáceres, Extremadura), a mountain chain with excellent environmental factors, and located within the Villuercas-Ibores-Jara UNESCO Global Geopark. Two generations dedicated to the production and marketing of the best extra virgin olive oil through natural techniques of olive grove cultivation. Monovarietal Extra Virgin Olive Oils Picual olive oil Flavor and aroma for your dishes The Picual variety is the most important in the world and the main one grown in Spain. The name of the variety refers to the shape of its fruit finished in a beak. Early harvest, it provides a high quality extra virgin olive oil, obtained by highlighting in it the high proportion of oleic acid. The yield of the fruits in the production of oil can reach 27% of their weight. For its cultivation it requires moisture in the soil, and therefore, irrigation in each tree. Our olive groves are equipped with automatic drip irrigation elements, extracted from boreholes. Ecological cultivation to achieve optimal nutritional values ​​of our picual variety oil. The oil obtained is composed of fatty acids and a large amount of balanced natural antioxidants. It is a balanced and stable oil due to its high content of oleic acid, low proportion of linoleic acid and high concentration of polyphenols. The name of the variety refers to its peculiar fruit in a curved horn-like shape. It is the most characteristic olive variety of the Montes de Toledo, where our olive groves are located, more specifically in the Sierra de Altamira, in the Villuercas-Ibores-Jara Geopark, a border area between the communities of Extremadura and Castilla La Mancha. . Its flowering is late as well as the ripening of the fruits. Olive trees with high resistance to adverse weather conditions and adaptation to poor and dry soils. The yield of its fruits reaches values ​​close to 20% of its weight with high fat content. Oil with the presence of yellowish tones with slight greenish reflections, a characteristic acquired by its fruity attributes: sweet on entry, bitter with green leaves and medium intensity spicy. It has a high content of monounsaturated fatty acids (oleic acid) and polyphenols.
